Bus

There are intracity and intercity buses.

Train & Tram

You can pay for this transport with Rav-Kav, or phone app. Alternatively, you can buy a paper ticket directly at the self-service machines at the stations.

"Sherut" Vans

Some cities offer public transport with vans that work like buses.

Taxi

You can order a taxi through the GETT app, or signal for a passing taxi to stop or call and order a taxi over the phone. The cost of the ride is calculated by the meter.

Uber and Other Ride Sharing Services

Currently, Uber and other ride sharing services do not operate in Israel

Important Note

Shabbat & Holidays:

On Shabbat and religious holidays, there’s a reduction in the availability of public transportation, with some cities completely suspending bus services.
